AE: APOCALYPSE EARTH is by far the richest film to come out of those rascals from The Global Asylum, and the best story from veteran director/writer Thunder Levin to date. A technique that this reviewer has recognized as their "sleight-of-hand" scripting, although the title may suggest a movie you were expecting, they surprise you with an entirely different plot. One would assume that the story would follow James Cameron's AVATAR, when it follows more closely the themes in Nimród Antal's PREDATORS, or H. G. Wells' "The Time Machine." The alpha indigenous race are in a state of perpetual camouflage, and hunt the lesser race for servitude and experiments.
